Morgan Hughes, Chief Financial Officer

Morgan brings deep Finance and marketplace expertise to Cambly as the company’s first CFO after running Finance teams at Airbnb and Grubhub for more than 10 years. Prior to Cambly, Morgan spent two years at Airbnb on the CFO's leadership team, running Finance for Experiences where she supported the international Finance organization and helped the company navigate many changes through the pandemic, including its IPO. Prior to Airbnb, Morgan spent eight years building the Grubhub Finance and Analytics functions from the ground up and played a pivotal role taking Grubhub public in 2014. Morgan holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A..from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Scott Tong, Head of Design

Scott joins Cambly as its Head of Design bringing with him nearly two decades of design experience. Prior to Cambly, Tong held various roles at Pinterest over five years culminating as the Head of Product Design. Before joining Pinterest, Scott was a Principal Communication Designer at global design consulting firm, IDEO and a co-founder of the automation startup IFTTT (If This Then That) where he helped to define the company’s vision, strategy, product, culture, and organization. He is also an advisor to Designer Fund, a board director, and angel investor and advisor to early stage startups. Scott holds a B.F.A. in Visual Communication Design from the University of Washington.

Omar Seyal, Head of Product

Omar joins the Cambly team as the company’s new Head of Product. Omar previously served as the Head of Product at Pinterest for more than six years where he led the Core Product Product Managers and the International teams. Prior to Pinterest, Omar cofounded a Y-Combinator and Google Ventures backed startup called Egomotion Corp, the creators of the context aware apps Status, Trigger and Agent. Egomotion Corp was recognized as one of the 10 New Apps of the Year (2013) by TechCrunch and awarded one of the 40 Apps of the Year (2014) by The Next Web. Omar Seyal holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University and an M.B.A. in Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School.

Shannon Benjamin, Head of People

Shannon brings decades of knowledge and experience in human resources and recruiting to Cambly as its new Head of People. Before joining the Cambly team, Shannon was the VP of Global Talent Acquisition at PureStorage. She was also a cofounder of a boutique talent consulting firm which supported well-known companies like FitBit, Syapse and T-Mobile in their recruitment business process development and training. Prior to that, Shannon was the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition for Global Sales at LinkedIn where she led the GTM recruiting team of more than 100 to enable a 7x expansion of LinkedIn revenue. Shannon holds a B.A. from Hamline University.

Laurence Wilson, General Counsel

Laurence recently joined Cambly as its General Counsel. He was an early executive at Yelp, helping to take the company public in 2012 and running its user operations, people operations, and legal teams. He left as its Chief Administrative Officer after more than 14 years at the ubiquitous local search platform. Before Yelp, Laurence ran the legal, fraud, and business development teams at Xoom, a Sequoia-backed fintech startup that IPOed in 2013 and later sold to PayPal. Laurence continues to advise tech startups and speaks frequently on emerging legal issues in technology. He holds a JD from Stanford Law School and a BA from the University of California, San Diego.
